We are ILLA MANK'A

We exist to generate food opportunities through healthy, natural, and organic products that enhance the quality of life for children, youth, adults, and seniors.

Our History

Illa Mank'a S.R.L.

ILLA MANK’A S.R.L. was inspired by its General Manager, Mónica Castro Delgadillo, with the vision of promoting food sustainability for Bolivian families, where children, parents, and grandparents can access nutritious food, sourced from healthy crops and safe processes. Since its inception, she identified that one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century is improving the nutritional quality of daily food by reducing the use of unnecessary ingredients and additives. With this conviction, ILLA MANK’A harnesses the potential of Andean cereals and other native grains to offer products that nourish, inspire, and connect with our roots.

Policies

Mision

Provide food with high nutritional quality and safety, produced under standards of excellence and sustainability, ensuring the trust and satisfaction of our customers.

Vision

To be a socially inclusive and environmentally responsible company that offers nutritious and authentic food inspired by Andean grains, generating well-being and pride among our customers, suppliers, collaborators, and the community.

Values

At ILLA MANK’A, we work guided by principles that reflect our commitment to quality, people, and the land:

  • Compliance and responsibility: We rigorously apply the required technical, quality, and environmental standards, ensuring reliable and sustainable products.
  • Continuous improvement: We promote innovation and the constant refinement of our processes and management systems to ensure excellence at every stage.
  • Safety and integrity: We foster safe, secure, and respectful work environments where our team can fully develop and contribute to the common well-being.
  • Respect for the land: We value natural resources and work responsibly, promoting practices that protect the environment and honor Andean wealth.
  • Commitment to the community: We grow alongside our suppliers, collaborators, and customers, driving an inclusive value chain that benefits the entire community.

Why Organic?

When ILLA MANK’A defines itself as “environmentally responsible,” it is because we are certain that it is possible to contribute simultaneously to the environment and the well-being of our customers. If the crops from which our ingredients originate are free of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, or synthetic additives, the organic foods we provide will be more nutritious.

Organic foods contain higher levels of vitamins, essential minerals, antioxidants, and proteins, while also maintaining their original flavors, aromas, and colors. Therefore, when we taste an organic food produced by ILLA MANK’A, we experience it more intensely.

Certifications

Senasag

SENASAG (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agropecuaria e Inocuidad Alimentaria) is a public entity in Bolivia, decentralized from the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands, responsible for administering the agricultural health and food safety regime throughout the country. Its functions include controlling diseases, protecting the phytosanitary and zoosanitary heritage, and ensuring that food is safe for human and animal consumption.

Organic

Organic certification is a formal process that verifies that a product (agricultural, cosmetic, textile, etc.) has been produced in compliance with specific standards that prohibit the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), while promoting sustainable practices. This process validates both the product and the production method, ensuring that the environment has not been harmed, and allows the producer to sell and label their products as “organic.”

Ibnorca

IBNORCA (Instituto Boliviano de Normalización y Calidad) is a non-profit public-private association that promotes quality in Bolivia through services such as standardization, certification, testing, and training. Its primary function is to establish technical standards and ensure that products, processes, and systems comply with them, thereby strengthening the Bolivian market and opening up export opportunities.

GMP

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), or Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura (BPM), are a set of principles and procedures designed to guarantee the safety and quality of products, especially in the food and pharmaceutical sectors, throughout every stage of production—from handling and processing to packaging, storage, and transport. Their primary objective is to minimize the risks of physical, chemical, or biological contamination, ensuring that products are safe for consumption and comply with all sanitary requirements.
